Ramadan is already underway and the ongoing pandemic has forced countries in the MENA region to reintorduce restrictions. That leaves gaming as the only entertainment outlet, since people are confined their homes. As PlayStation reintroduced their Play At Home initiative back in March, they followed up with an update by giving away games from indie studios.

The next big giveaway for PlayStation gamers across the Middle East region is Guerrilla Games’ Horizon Zero Dawn Complete Edition.

Although the game released as a PlayStation-exclusive back in 2017, it’s a good setup in preparation for the sequel releasing sometime this year on both consoles. The game also added Arabic for voiceover and the screen language.

Sony is giving away the Complete Edition of the game with the following items:

  • Horizon Zero Dawn.
  • The Frozen Wilds expansion.
  • Carja Storm Ranger Outfit and Carja Mighty Bow.
  • Carja Trader Pack.
  • Banuk Trailblazer Outfit and Banuk Culling Bow.
  • Banuk Traveller Pack.
  • Nora Keeper Pack.
  • Digital art book.
  • PS4™ theme.

Don’t confuse it with the PS Plus free games each month, which require an active subscription to the service. You can claim the game for free with no strings attached. You have until 7AM GST on May 15 to claim it, which puts it during the Eid holidays.

Don’t forget to claim the 9 games announced in the second giveaway (including 4 four PlayStation VR) before 7AM GST on April 23.

For the PlayStation 5 owners

In case you missed the news on the first major system software update to the PlayStation 5, you can now use an external HDD/SSD to backup your PS5 games when you need more space.

However, you can’t play the games directly off them (that’s only available for PS4 games via backwards compatibility). You need to copy them back to your PS5’s internal SSD. This makes it easier for you to re-install them rather than re-downloading them from the PlayStation Store.

You can learn mroe about how to use external drives with your PS5 via their support page.
