One year since announcing their partnership at Web Summit Qatar 2025, iHeartMedia is officially launching their MENA region podcast network under the iHeartArabi umbrella. Aimed at sharing Arabic stories relevant to the MENA region, it’s launching with two shows.
Following the partnership announcement with the Government Communications Office of Qatar at Web Summit Qatar 2025, I had a chat with iHeartMedia that expanded more on the prospects and opportunities for podcasting in the MENA region.
iHeartMedia and Government Communications Office of Qatar are collaborating to establish and foster a regional podcasting industry in the Middle East and North Africa region. This initiative aims to position Qatar as a podcasting hub, featuring state-of-the-art studios, masterclasses, and a lineup of original shows for Arabic audiences.
