The 5G race is heating up in the Middle East, as smartphone makers rush to release supporting devices for consumers. Huawei joins the fray with the release of the Huawei Mate 20 X 5G across the region.
The whole discussion about 5G has been focused solely around Europe and Asia, but people have forgotten that few countries in the Middle East have already deployed 5G. The lack of consumer devices supporting 5G has been the main thorn. Vodafone Qatar took the big step by bringing the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 5G to allow users to enjoy the benefits of the new 5G network. It’s also the first of any smartphones readily able to support it.
With so many Instagram users in the Middle East and the brands using it, it’s inevitable that the next step would be to bring shopping experience. Debuting in 2017 and available in select countries, shopping tags are now available in Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, and UAE.
