With Samsung Unpacked wrapped up already around the S24, I realized that the Galaxy S24 Ultra deserved its own story. Why? Because it looks like they’ve carried over much of what they did for the S23, and they’ve even further refined it yet kept it consistent for the entire world.
Powered by Qualcomm
Last year, Samsung gave every Galaxy S23 phone a Qualcomm-powered Snapdragon SoC covering every corner of the world. For the new models, Samsung decided to go back to their previous strategy… partially. While the S24 and S24+ will be powered by the Exynos 2400 SoC, the Galaxy S24 Ultra in the MENA region will be powered by the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Made with Galaxy (just like the rest of the world).
It makes sense that the high-end flagship model should deserve the best chipset worldwide. This SoC variant is slightly clocked higher than what was officially unveiled by Qualcomm back in October 2023. You can geek out more on the specs below.

That also means that the chip is bound to generate even more heat for intense tasks. Luckily, there’s a new vapor chamber that is 1.9x larger to help draw out the heat and disperse it away. That should keep it cooler and even keep performance sustained for longer periods before it throttles itself.

Sturdy and sustainably designed
The Galaxy S24 Ultra now features a titanium frame, which should enhance the device’s durability and longevity. When it comes to the display itself, you’ll notice that it no longer curves towards the side. Making it durable is the new Corning® Gorilla® Armor, optically enhanced and demonstrates superior durability against damage caused by everyday scratches. It’s also expected to deliver reduced reflection by up to 75% in a wide range of lighting conditions.
Just like the younger siblings, this high-end flagship takes on a more sustainable approach on the product roadmap. The larger battery in the Galaxy S24 Ultra incorporates a minimum of 50% recycled cobalt. The speakers supposedly use 100% recycled rare earth elements and minimum 40% recycled steel.
AI everywhere, Cameras fuel creativity
The new Galaxy AI system also brings many of the Galaxy S24 and S24+ features to the Ultra model, and I expect them to perform even better with the Snapdragon SoC. Probably the best one that I think is the new “Circle to Search” powered by Google.

The camera specs look similar to last year’s model, but seems that the improved sensors and the newer SoC will definitely improve the quality of videos and photos for content creation. Even the new ProVisual Engine fuels the quad camera system, and the Nightography system looks to improve the process even more in low light.
The Quad Tele System with the new 5x optical zoom lens, works with the 50MP sensor to enable optical-quality performance at zoom levels from 2x, 3x, 5x to 10x magnification thanks to Adaptive Pixel Sensor. ICYMI, you can also shoot 4K at 120fps (the other models cap out to 30fps/60fps) which would definitely give you some great slow-motion footage that youc an easily scale.
One More Thing
Can’t forget about the S Pen, which still slides into the device for easy storage and removal for use. All Galaxy S24 Ultra users get seven generations of OS upgrades and security updates to extend the product lifecycle.
Pre-orders are live across the MENA region via local telecom providers and even by Samsung (online and their partner retail outlets). Don’t forget you get additional exclusive colour options when ordering directly from the Samsung website.
If you’re willing to try your luck to win one, Samsung is running a contest on their accounts.
