Notion, the AI workspace for productivity and collaboration, has officially added support for the Arabic language. This isn’t just tied to expand their efforts across the Middle East region – it benefits Arabic speakers worldwide. Some of their prominent clients include OpenAI (who’re already involved with Stargate UAE) and Toyota (for the Land Cruiser lovers).
According to the official news, the launch marks Notion’s first major product investment in the Middle East. This is a direct response to strong organic adoption and sustained requests from the growing Notion community in the region.
We now have millions of users across the region who have adopted Notion to build startups, manage teams, and create their life’s work. Arabic support is a foundation for what comes next, as we deepen our commitment to the region and the teams building the future here. – Mick Hodgins, GM EMEA, Notion.
Notion-ing down in the Middle East
Notion’s decision to invest in Arabic reflects years of community-led growth across the region
- Millions of users across the Middle East, including hundreds of thousands in the UAE.
- Customers in the region include Emirates Foundation and Emirates Investment Bank.
- 1,000+ startups in the UAE have taken part in Notion’s Startups Program.
They recently hosted a Make with Notion Showcase event in Dubai to mark the milestone. Bringing
together local founders/creators/community members, it underscored Notion’s focus on
engaging directly with its regional community.

With productivity and collaboration transcending digital and physical borders, linguistic barriers exist especially when some languages are not supported. The Arabic language support reflects on the work in the region that moves between languages, markets, and audiences. With Arabic now available, Notion removes friction from collaboration and makes its workspace feel more intuitive for Arabic-speaking users.
Arabic support will be available across Notion’s core experience desktop (macOS/Windows) and mobile apps (iOS/Android), homepage, and key website sections.
Users can easily switch to Arabic by updating their preferred language in Settings within the app, or via Settings option on the website. With this launch, Notion is now available in 21 languages worldwide.
