If you thought the Mate 20 X 5G would be the only 5G-supported device by Huawei, think again. Soon, you’ll be able to get your hands onto the Huawei Mate 30 Pro 5G in the Middle East.
Same Mate 30 Pro, but boosted with 5G
If you were rethinking whether to buy a 5G smartphone (knowing that availability is based on support by mobile carriers), most of the Middle East has been accelerating the work in deploying it. This new model is future-proofed to support both 5G Non-Standalone (NSA) and Standalone (SA) modes.
Let’s talk about the camera. Huawei have continued their partnership with Leica to ensure that camera optics are on par with those of a DSLR for photography. One look at the back side shows you four different lenses arranged like a matrix: a telephoto lens, an Ultra wide Cine Camera, a Wide SuperSensing lens, and a depth sensor.

There’s a clear balance between video and photo capabilities, as you can even capture low-light scenes with the new sensor that supports ISO 51,200. Combine that with Ultra Slow-motion Video at 768 fps and 4K Ultra-Wide Angle Low-light Time-lapse Video, you’re looking at quite a powerful camera that rivals any prosumer-level device.
A device this powerful definitely requires a large battery. Thus, the presence of a 4,500 mAh battery that also supports 40W Huawei Supercharge and 27W Wireless Huawei Suparcharge system. You can also use it as a wireless charge for other devices that support it.

If there is no 5G network, rest assured that it already supports the widely-available 4G networks worldwide. If you’re feeling adventurous, it also supports dual SIM such that one SIM uses 5G network and the second one uses 4G network.
