Pinterest Partners with DMS, Launches Advertising Services in MENA Region

Pinterest has introduced advertising services to the MENA region in partnership with Digital Media Services. This partnership allows advertisers in select markets to connect with their audiences using Pinterest's advertising solutions.

Pinterest has finally brought advertising services to the MENA region in partnership with the Digital Media Services (DMS – a Choueiri Group brand). It’s been three years since support for the Arabic language was added on Pinterest, and this will be quite a welcome news to brands. For a visual-focused social network, it’s become quite a popular place (I know cause I joined back in 2011/2012 and seen my account grow to 5.3K pinning to multiple boards).

Digital Media Services (DMS) serves as Choueiri Group’s dedicated digital media arm, exclusively representing leading websites belonging to their media partners and other exclusive representations signed on directly by DMS. The official announcement came out from a LinkedIn post made by Pinterest’s VP of SMB.

This strategic partnership with a MENA-based entity allows advertisers in the above MENA markets to find and connect with their audiences using Pinterest’s performance advertising solutions.

With over half a billion1 users coming to Pinterest each month and an astounding 10 billion2 boards curated on the platform globally, Pinterest is the go-to hub for inspiration. An opportunity for many visual-themed businesses to tap into an audience looking for inspiration.

Another Pinterest-ing feature

On another note for Pinterest users to promote their pin baords, the platform itself has released a new board sharing feature. This lets users effortlessly share dynamic videos of their favorite Pinterest boards to other social platforms (customizable based on the account holder’s preferences). Board sharing streamlines the process of sharing Pinned content and enables users to include a link for others to explore their entire board on the platform.

It does take on some influence from how TikTok initially allowed users to promtoe their videos including a watermark. The Board sharing feature gives it a more stylized look generated from the pins within the board, and lets you promote it off-platform.
