Deliveroo has officially launched in Qatar

There’s no shortage of food delivery apps, and it’s good to have options. Get ready to add another one as UK-based food delivery app Delilveroo is officialy available in Qatar. Joining UAE and Kuwait, this makes it the third market in the MIddle East region.

While I was driving around few weeks back, I did spot Deliveroo riders at Souq Waqif but no word on the rollout. That could have been a soft launch test run leading upto their official rollout.

A major focus is on supporting local F&B offerings, alongside more franchised/global names. Not many may have their own delivery logistics in place, and Deliveroo’s presence wil greatly support the local restaurant scene. that is also in addition to partnering with other notable global names like Shake Shack, Pinkberry, Cinnabon, and more.

If you already have the app installed, you’l likely notice that the restaurants for ordering are limited (based on your location). That’s because their current coverage area is central Doha, Pearl and West Bay. Expect more areas to come online soon, since there will be more people coming into Doha.

The launch couldn’t have come at a much better time. Since it’s already available in many countries worldwide (Australia, Belgium, France, Singapore, Italy, Singapore, Ireland, and the UK), it’ll be a familiar name to visitors coming to Doha for the FIFA World Cup. Same familiar app, the diffence being the restaurants on offer.

If you’re not yet a user, download the app on iOS/Android. Existing users shouldn’t face any issues, but will be good to have it updated on their smartphones.
