While it’s been years since Apple opened their online store followed by their retail stores in the UAE (there have been many stories on how they navigated the country’s business laws for it), it’s also become one of the main places to join global launches. Now you can add the Apple Vision to it, as it’s officially coming to the Middle East region before the end of 2024.
I’m not going to bother to re-explain what is the Apple Vision Pro, but consider it as a mixed reality “spatial computer” that you wear and lets you blur the lines between virtual and reality. It lets you experience the physical world around you as a canvas to using tech.
Everything About it, and more
There won’t be a shortage of apps for it, with the App Store now featuring more than 2,500 apps designed for Apple Vision Pro. Don’t forget the 1.5 million iPhone and iPad apps that are fully compatible with Vision Pro. Expect to see Shahid, OSN+, Starz On, and many other regional apps support it with the impending release.
Want to use your Mac with it? Users can also bring their Mac into Vision Pro wirelessly with Mac Virtual Display — where they can access their Mac apps on an enormous, private, and portable display.

You can interact with it using your fingers or even a keyboard/mouse. Before I forget, you can also get prescription lenses for it (made in partnership with ZEISS), since those who wear glasses/spectacles (even me!) can’t use it while wearing them. You’ll be able to get them at ZEISS eye care professionals across the UAE.
If you’re already looking to capture spatial video and photos, both the iPhone 15 Pro/Pro Max and the new iPhone 16 range allow it
Want one?
Pre-orders start on November 4th, and will be widely available from mid-November. It’ll be available both at the Apple Stores (Dubai and Abu Dhabi) and also via the online store, with a starting price of AED 13,999 with storage options for: 256GB , 512GB, and 1TB.
If you want to give it a try, the Apple Stores will be allowing 30-minute appointments for it as well.
For those with vision correction requirements, the ZEISS Optical Inserts will be available in two variations: Readers (AED 379) and Prescription (AED 579). Expect people from around the GCC region planning a weekend trip to Dubai for when it officially launches.
There’s still one question that everyone in the region keeps asking (including myself) – when will Apple open their official stories in their respective countries?
